Bugatti is selling a shot of espresso for £50 proving the cost of living is officially nuts

The cost of living is officially out-of-control. 

Bugatti customers are now paying £50 for a shot of coffee. 

And if you’re thinking ‘they’re Bugatti customers so they can afford it,’ you’re not alone. 

But £50 on a shot of espresso is wild money, even for people who can afford a Bugatti.

Ettore’s Espresso Bar at the H.R. Owen dealership in Mayfair, London, is selling The Ettore Shot for £50 (US$59). 

But there is one saving grace. 

It comes in a carbon fiber espresso cup. 

But for £50, it’d have to be quite the cup. 

Especially given you can’t keep it once you finish the coffee. 

In fact, the cups are on loan from the Bugatti factory in Melsheim. 

The cafe was once only open to Bugatti customers and by appointment only, but now it’s open to everyone. 

So, if you’re on the hunt for a coffee in London, be sure to check the name of the shop before you put your order in.

The £50 Bugatti coffee also comes with one more extra, but we’ll leave it up to you to decide whether it justifies the price. 

Those who are willing to fork out the exorbitant dollar amount are invited to stay and sit while they drink their cup of liquid gold. 

Once you’re served your cuppa, you’ll be sitting in a custom carbon fiber armchair with a view of a Bugatti Chiron. 

Not bad, but the chair better have healing capabilities or at the very least a massage function. 

It will likely be the closest thing to a Bugatti most people will ever own, but let’s just hope the price is on the door so customers don’t get the surprise of their lives when they order their morning brew. 

Bugatti isn’t just selling liquid gold and some of the most beautiful cars in the world, it’s also made a foray into the crypto space.

Bugatti this month sold a unique NFT inspired by the one-off La Voiture Noire for a whopping $458,000. 

The NFT came with a gold sculpture of the La Voiture Noire – so the buyer had something tangible to show off with their purchase.

While you might not like their prices, you can’t deny they make everything to an incredible standard.

Let’s hope the quality of the coffee matches that of their cars.
