Brabus gets its hands on a bike and the result is beastly

Brabus isn’t a name you’d typically associate with motorcycles.

Yet, the German tuner has just unveiled its second two-wheeler.

Brabus teamed up with KTM to create the Brabus 1300 R Edition 23 – and it’s one badass-looking bike.

Brabus is calling it a luxurious, “naked bike.”

Not quite sure exactly what that means, but it’s powered by a 1,301 cc V-Twin engine producing 180 hp at 9,500 rpm and 140 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm.

It’s also limited edition, with only 290 of these mean-looking motorcycles being made.

This is the second motorcycle Brabus has produced alongside KTM since the pair formed a partnership last year.

The Brabus 1300 R Edition 23 is based on the first bike, the KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo.

However, the tuning outfit has altered the appearance of the bike, making it look even more stealthy.

It’s being offered in two special paint colors – Superblack and Stealth Gray– and features an assortment of carbon fiber body elements.

These parts include a distinctive headlight mask with exposed-carbon side fairing and power domes, too.

Giving the bike a unique face are Brabus Signature Stripes in the air scoops which are made of pre-preg carbon fiber.

That’s not all, though, as the bike also gets custom foot pegs, a dual-pipe exhaust, and Brabus Monoblock Z forged wheels finished in “Platinum Black” adding to the stealth look.

It even comes with a bespoke heated seat featuring the Brabus “Crest” stitching pattern.

To finish things off, the Brabus 1300 R Edition 23’s handlebar end mirrors have been purpose-built to round off the motorbike’s one-of-a-kind appearance.

Brabus 1300 R Edition 23 price

Brabus says the 1300 R Edition 23 will only be sold in select markets, with prices starting at €42,500 ($45,674) in Germany.
