The MG EXE181 electric hypercar concept has been unveiled ahead of the Beijing Motor Show 2024.
According to the company, the electric supercar will be able to perform the 0-62mph sprint in 1.9 seconds.
If the automaker can deliver on this promise, the MG EXE181 will be one of the fastest-accelerating cars out there.

MG unveiled the electric hypercar ahead of its public debut at the Beijing Motor Show 2024.

Back to the MG EXE181, the hypercar is inspired by the 1950s EX181 land speed record car.
Similar to its predecessor, the MG EXE181 has a very aerodynamic body with a single-seat design.
Since the hypercar can go 0-62 mph in 1.9 seconds, it might pack more than 1000bph of power.
With that kind of speed, the MG EXE181 is definitely one of the fastest electric cars in the world.
Currently, the title for the fastest accelerating electric car belongs to the Japanese Aspark Owl.
The Aspark Owl packs four motors that can produce 1985bhp, hitting 62mph in just 1.72 seconds.
Speaking of fast electric cars, Elon Musk has promised that the upcoming Tesla Roadster will go 0 to 60mph in under a second.
Now that is a bold claim.
With more and more automakers going electric, it looks like we are heading to a hypercar era powered by electricity rather than gasoline.
Unfortunately, we still don’t know the top speed of the new MG EXE181.
However, the hypercar’s interior suggests a four-motor drivetrain.
Inside the cockpit, the EXE181 has a yoke-style steering wheel with a built-in touchscreen.
Just from the images, the hypercar looks like something straight out of a video game.
Hopefully, we will get to see more amazing concept cars like this during the exhibition.
