EV is like no other ever made because it was made by AI… and a child’s imagination

  • ND Woodworking Art built another wooden car
  • This one was designed by AI, after his kid gave a description as a ‘prompt’

This is probably the most unique EV in the world – not least because it’s a wooden car designed via AI.

It was first envisioned by a kid, before being designed with (and by) AI, and built out of wood.

The result is a retro-futuristic, steampunk vehicle that looks like it belongs to the Mad Max saga.

The vehicle was designed with AI, following a ‘prompt’, if we want to call it that, written by a kid.

Translated: the child of the guy who runs the ND Woodworking Art YouTube channel came up with a description, and AI turned it into a prototype.

Once artificial intelligence had done its ‘thang’ and designed something that’s predictably interesting as well as a bit absurd, ND Woodworking got to work.

The AI-designed EV is made (almost) entirely out of wood

Building a wooden car designed by AI was no easy task because there’s a lot going on, and a lot of elements to take into consideration.

The YouTuber/woodworker started by crafting a tubular frame made of steel.

After that, he slammed four batteries under the floor of the car, along with a tiny electric unit, and that’s when the fun, and presumably easy (for him), part started.

He built the bodywork using wood, and wrapped it around the frame, before adding some wheels.

Building cars out of wood

YouTube is awash with channels of people building cars using nothing but wood.

ND Woodworking Art is one of the most popular out there, with over 2.9 million subscribers.

But we should point out that he’s popular because he’s good, he’s built an entire collection of wooden cars.

So far he’s built a couple of Rolls-Royces, including a Boat Tail, a tank, and a Cybertruck that was so good even Elon Musk reacted to it.

And now this weird AI-designed vehicle.

We’re certainly excited to see what he’s going to build next.
