Man moved into 5* all-inclusive hotel because it’s cheaper than rent

A TikToker from the UK has moved into a five-star all inclusive because it’s cheaper than his monthly rent.

Josh Kerr was trawling the internet for an all-inclusive holiday deal when he found that he could put ’28 nights’ as the duration.

After running a quick search, he was surprised to see that the cost for a month-long vacation was on par with his monthly rent.

That’s not all, though, as the more Kerr looked into it, the more he realized it wasn’t just on par, but would actually work out a better deal than his typical monthly outgoings and apartment in Manchester, England.

Now, we’ve heard stories of couples selling everything to live on a cruise ship, and even people converting planes into fully livable houses – but moving into a five-star all-inclusive is a new one to us.

The TikToker found an all-inclusive resort in Antalya, Turkey that had a pool, gym, and more, which came to $1,175.

Kerr then did some quick math to work out his bills including rent, council tax, and ‘all that jazz’, which came to $1,192.

“So that’s not even including food or drink or anything,” Kerr said on an episode of Holidays: Get Away for Less.

In collaboration with On the Beach, the TikToker jetted off to Turkey where he stayed at the Port River Hotel and Spa in Antalya.

There he indulged in multiple plates of food, flowing drinks, and took full advantage of the ‘stunning beach’, he said in a TikTok video.

And, when Kerr fancied a change of scenery, he visited an old city with beautiful old ruins which was close to the hotel.

As to be expected, it wasn’t long before people took to social media in awe of Josh’s life hack.

“There’s a guy that has moved into an all-inclusive 5* resort in Turkey because it works out cheaper per month than his rent and bills in Manchester which doesn’t even include food… He’s found the ultimate cheat code to the cozzy livs,” one X user posted.

“When I get a 100 percent remote role I’ll be doing the same thing,” another commented.

“Genius,” a third added.
