This is the fastest-accelerating car in the world.
It’s called the McMurtry Spéirling and it can go from 0-60 mph in just 1.4 seconds and on to 150 mph in under five seconds.
With numbers like that, it’s no wonder it’s being called “the wildest electric car to ever wear number plates”.

The electric single-seater hypercar is so fast that its engineers needed to install two fans to stop it from flying into the air.
These two hidden fans create 2000kgs of downforce, giving the car incredible grip to tackle corners at high speeds.
Former F1 driver Max Chilton told Supercar Blondie “this thing is nearly double the speed on acceleration” compared to an F1 car.
“When I first did the launch with the fans on and full power, 1,000hp, it took my breath away,” he said.
“So now when I do it, I have to pre-empt it and hold my breath for those first couple of seconds.”
Chilton said because it was electric and there were no gears, the rate of acceleration “really hits you and you just keep being sucked down in the seat”.
Its 0-60 mph speed is hard to fathom until you see it race a La Ferrari on the track.
When McMurtry Automotive put its Spéirling up against the La Ferrari, it left the Prancing Horse in its dust.

The electric hypercar weighs less than a ton and has two electric motors that churn out up to 1,000 hp.
As Chief Engineer Kevin Ukoko-Rongione noted, that’s more than one horsepower per kilo.
The McMurtry Spéirling is a UK-designed and built car.
The one Supercar Blondie drove through the streets of Dubai is track only, but there’s a road-legal version coming soon.
It will be McMurtry Automotive’s first-ever production car.
If you want to get your hands on it, expect to pay good money.
The Spéirling starts at £820,000 which works out to be just over a million US dollars.
