Pack your things because Disney is creating real life residential villages

Calling all Disney fans…

The American entertainment company is launching a new project and it’s the perfect way to live inside the magic of Disney forever.

“Storyliving by Disney” will be a residential living version of the theme park.

The first of these mini-towns is set to be built in the city of Rancho Mirage in California’s Coachella Valley.

Dubbed Cortino, this town will include 1,900 units comprising of villas, condos, and housing complexes clustered around a 24-acre “grand oasis,” which Disney says will offer “clear turquoise waters” powered by the Crystal Lagoons technology seen at its resorts.

Extras will include “shopping, dining, and entertainment,” as well as a beachfront hotel and clubhouse which will host entertainment events all year round.

However, you don’t have to live there to access this as members of the public will be able to visit Cotino by purchasing day passes.

There will also be a development set aside for residents aged 55 and up.

Disney hasn’t yet revealed what it will cost to become a resident, but plots are expected to go fast.

Even opening dates are still to be confirmed.

But if Cortino is anything like Walt Disney’s Golden Oak Resort that opened up in 2011, house prices will start at well over $1 million.
