Incredibly preserved 1957 Plymouth Belvedere has only done 5,000 miles in the last 40 years

  • It is not every day that you see such a classic American car
  • That too, in such a good condition – like this Plymouth Belvedere
  • The best thing is that this car has barely been driven in 40 years

It’s not common to see an old classic car in pristine condition, but this 1957 Plymouth Belvedere has been incredibly preserved.

Plus, according to the owner, it has only been driven 5000 miles in the last 40 years.

While old classic cars like the Plymouth Belvedere are rare, finding one with such a low mile count is almost unheard of.

Add in the fact that its condition is as good as new and it is quite a car.

1957 Plymouth Belvedere

The word ‘Belvedere’ is Italian for ‘beautiful sight’ or ‘fair view.’

Any classic car enthusiast would agree that this 1957 Plymouth Belvedere stands true to its name.

This classic car was so iconic that the US State of Oklahoma decided to use it as a time capsule.

So, the state buried a brand-new Plymouth Belvedere to represent the state of the industry in 1957.

Unfortunately, the concrete capsule wasn’t waterproof, and the car was heavily damaged by being submerged in groundwater.

These days, it is pretty rare to see such an old car in good condition.

Incredibly preserved Belvedere

However, one man from New Hampshire, United States, actually owns a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere that is in really great shape.

The owner of the classic car only got it a few years back and has only driven it 5000 miles.

Prior to that, this 1957 Plymouth Belvedere was stored in a garage and barely driven.

It seems the old car was stored in a relatively good environment, which is necessary for a vehicle to be preserved for this long.

Just recently, a worn-down 1957 Plymouth Belvedere was also rescued from a closed-down Iowa dealership where it sat for 50 years.

Thankfully, there are still examples like these that are still in relatively good condition and have their original parts.
