Tesla Cybertruck apparently hit an unprecedented charging rate in Europe

Cybertruck is not officially available in Europe, but nothing says you can’t buy one and import it privately.

The person who runs a Cybertruck Owners Club in Europe has, before he then tested the vehicle’s charging rate, making an incredible discovery.

This Tesla owner shared the result to the Tesla Owners Slovakia X channel, and the result is outstanding.

This Cybertruck reportedly charged at 405kW, which is enough to charge the car from 0 to 100 percent (nearly) three times in an hour.

A game changer

A few days ago, a Cybertruck owner shared a video detailing how long it takes to charge his truck, and people were unimpressed.

By contrast, in a post shared by Tesla Owners Slovakia, we learn that this Cybertruck owner has managed to charge his truck at 400+kW.

Translated into simple terms, it means the truck was charging at 1,659km (of range) per hour.

At that speed, you can easily get a full ‘tank’ of energy in about 15 to 20 minutes.

Still not as fast as filling up with gas, of course, but we’re getting there.

Is Cybertruck ever coming to Europe?

Last summer, Tesla took the truck on a grand tour of Europe for marketing reasons, which gave many people (short-lived) false hope.

As Tesla’s VP of Vehicle Engineering pointed out, Cybertruck can’t comply with European regulations regarding protruding parts.

In order to be sold in Europe, it’ll have to be redesigned, maybe it’ll a bit smaller, which would apparently please James May.

Homologation across different regions and markets is a constant headache for automakers because there are so many things to consider, and that’s especially true with Cybertruck.

But people want it, clearly, so Tesla will eventually figure it out.
