An amazing piece of footage shows a Gulfstream GIV private jet making a spectacular 90-degree turn to land at Henderson Executive Airport.

The GIV also known as the Gulfstream IV, was one of the best-selling business jets in the industry at one time.

Before its retirement, the aircraft manufacturer had sold more than 1200 models of the plane.

Gulfstream GIV private jet mobility

The Gulfstream GIV is a very maneuverable plane that has even broken several world records.

Now that you know what a ‘monster’ this plane is, let’s try to better understand how it became the best-selling private jet.

According to the former president of Gulfstream, the G450 (GIV variant) was one of the best-selling private jets during its production years between 2006 and 2018.

He further said that both pilots and passengers loved the aircraft.

Even Tom Cruise, known for his love of flying owns a $20 million Gulfstream GIV private jet with a flying spa and theater.

GIV legacy

There are many other expensive private planes like this, but the GIV is something truly special.

Even the video above, uploaded by Jeffrey Lustick, properly showcases how well the aircraft can maneuver.

Manufactured from 1985 to 2018, the Gulfstream GIV was eventually replaced to make room for the G500.

However, it still changed the aviation industry for the better.

It was the first private business jet to have screens, instead of ‘clocks’ in its cockpit.

The Gulfstream GIV excelled even when it comes to safety.

It was also used to transport members of the US government as well as Norway, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Pakistan, Tanzania, Malaysia, and Chile.

The company is currently working on the new G400 and G800 private jets.

Hopefully, the G400 can bring back some of the success seen by the GIV.
