When luxury car brands collaborate with smartphone brands, the result is a stunning, limited-edition phone — like the Honor Porsche Design Magic6 RSR.

That’s right, the Chinese smartphone brand has once again teamed up with Porsche Design Studio to create a luxury smartphone.

And yes, it has a hefty price tag to burn your wallet.

The last time Honor launched a Porsche-themed phone, it was based on the Porsche 911.

Similarly, the Porsche Design Magic6 RSR – as good as it looks – takes inspiration from the automaker’s sports car identity.

But what’s so special about this phone?

It’s basically an Honor Magic6 Pro smartphone that the tech giant released a while ago with a beefed-up design.

And when you partner with a luxury sports car brand, it shows.

The Magic6 RSR remains the same as the Magic6 Pro spec-wise but looks stunning on the outside.

Sticking true to the automaker’s identity, the phone has an iconic hexagonal pattern on its back.

Just like the geometric perfection in a Porsche car.

Moreover, there’s an exclusive Frozen Berry color option apart from the standard Agate Grey.

It’s not uncommon to see such limited-edition smartphones having not-so-special features.

But this one does — as it comes with the latest hardware currently available.

The Porsche Design Magic6 RSR features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the best-performing processor right now.

On the front, there’s a stunning 6.8-inch ‘quad-curved’ display, meaning it has curves on all four sides.

So be careful not to drop this one, then.

If you’re a camera fanatic, it comes with a 180-megapixel telephoto lens, among others, with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a fair 2.5x digital zoom.

Similarly, the camera system also includes a 50MP ultrawide and another 50MP main camera sensor.

All of this will only cost you £1599 ($2000) to bag you a luxury Porche smartphone.

Is that a super-expensive price tag for a smartphone? Indeed.

But a collaboration like this usually costs you for the branding instead.

Just like this $1.5 million Porsche prefab home.

And it’s not that far off from the current best-selling flagship phones.

For instance, you can get a maxed-out iPhone 15 Pro Max for $1600.

So is the luxury smartphone inspired by a sports car worth the price tag?

Well, it depends on how much love you have for Porsche.
