Indian billionaire acquires Queen Elizabeth’s Range Rover used by the Obamas

Indian billionaire Yohan Poonawalla made headlines some time ago for acquiring a piece of British royal history — Queen Elizabeth’s Range Rover.

This luxury car was also used by the Obamas.

Moreover, this Range Rover came at a price of well above six figures, adding to Poonawalla’s already lavish car collection.

The Range Rover, a 2016 SDV8 Autobiography LWB edition, is unique in many ways.

It retains its original registration number, which is quite amusing given its age.

What’s more impressive is that the car only has 18,000 miles on the odometer.

The royal Range Rover features a blue exterior and cream-colored seats, giving it a unique appearance.

Poonawalla’s latest purchase was not any ordinary Range Rover, but it came with special modifications, making it fit for royal use.

This one-of-a-kind Range Rover included hidden lights, extra steps for easier access, and even emergency police lights.

Grab handles were also installed for the Queen’s convenience.

Other features included a starry headliner, RR logos on the headrests, and seats with massage functions.

Avoiding the auction process for buying the car

As soon as the SUV was up for sale, Yohan knew he wanted it.

Thus, he even avoided the auction process, buying the car in private.

“Special cars like these do not come along very often,” he remarked on his timeless possession.

Well, Poonawalla is not the only one who cherishes the historic pieces.

Recently, a guy brought Elvis Presley’s abandoned private jet and modified it into an RV.

Known for their vaccine business, the Poonawalla family is known for their classic car collection.
