Super-rare LFA Lexus spotted for sale for an insane amount

It’s not often a LFA Lexus comes up for sale.

When you do spot one, they tend to have a hefty price tag attached.

And this example found for sale in London, England is no different.

Design

The car for sale boasts a lengthy spec sheet, including red leather heated eight-way adjustable seats, black Alcantara headlining, and a carbon fiber steering wheel.

It’s also got a seven-inch HD screen with Bluetooth audio, and dual-zone climate control.

CHECK THIS OUT!

It’s a 2012 model, finished in white, sitting on 20-inch forged dark premium metallic wheels.

Behind those rims are ceramic composite brakes with red calipers.

That kind of stopping power is needed because of what’s under the hood.

Power

The LFA Lexus has a 4.8-liter V10 engine, producing 552 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque, capable of 0-60 in 3.7 seconds.

It’s mated to a six-speed automated manual transmission, which sends power to the rear wheels.

Arguably one of, if not the best sounding V10, the LFA’s engine is capable of revving up to an ear-piercing 9,000rpm.

And here’s a geeky fact for you…

During the car’s development, it was found that the LFA could blip to its 9,000rpm red line in 0.6 seconds.

So an analogue rev counter needle wasn’t fast enough, it had to have a digital one.

That’s not the only cool thing about the LFA Lexus.

It was also realized during development that a carbon fiber monocoque and body panels would be lighter and stiffer than the planned aluminum.

So Lexus created its own proprietary carbon fiber production techniques solely for the LFA.

Lexus LFA price

With only 500 units produced, each one hand-built by a single engineer, the Lexus LFA has become a sought-after collector’s item.

And with only 7,159 miles (11,521 kilometers) on its clocks, this particular example for sale with GVE London Ltd is likely to garner plenty of interest.

Whether its £1,020,000 ($1,444,428) price tag is enough to put people off is another question.
