Secretly taken images of Xpeng Motors’ first mass-produced flying car emerge

Xpeng Motors’ first mass-produced flying car has made headlines for the past couple of years.

The electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer has been a major player in the Chinese automotive industry for a decade.

The company is all set to mass-produce its first flying car, the Land Carrier.

The Land Carrier, made by Xpeng Motors, is an SUV and flying vehicle combo.

The SUV doesn’t have any flying capabilities, but it carries a miniature aircraft on the vehicle’s backside.

The Cybertruck-esque six-wheeler EV has a two-person electric helicopter hidden inside that can be deployed at a moment’s notice.

Recently, the flying car has been spotted on the roads.

Many were concerned that the vehicle wouldn’t see the light of day due to its ridiculous design.

However, people may soon be able to see the flying car in its full glory.

Flying cars are finally becoming a reality after years as more and more countries are loosening their approach to low-altitude flights.

At CES 2024, Xpeng announced official plans to begin mass production of the flying vehicle in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Xpeng has three models at the forefront of their flying car ambitions.

The first and the most famous is the X2, a traditional VTOL-type aircraft, which recently completed its first cross-river flight.

It’s not exactly a car in a traditional sense, as it is made only for air-to-air travel.

The second is an eVTOL flying supercar that has retractable wings and propellers.

The supercar is just slightly longer than most cars to accommodate the retractable wings.

Xpeng AeroHT Land Carrier also has a modular design, as the attached VTOL lacks wheels and resembles a small helicopter.

The car will cost upwards of $200,000, which is quite cheap considering its capabilities.
