LEGO releases a Vespa set to celebrate the scooter’s 75th birthday and yes, it’s as cool as it sounds

To celebrate the iconic Vespa scooter’s 75th anniversary, everyone’s favorite toymaker Lego has released a set based on the Vespa 125.

Coming in at 8.5 inches high, 13.5 inches long, and 4.5 inches wide, this throwback set is part of Lego’s Creator Expert lineup.

For a cool $99.99 you get the 1106 piece set which will certainly keep you busy.

The Vespa features a front-wheel mounted on one side, two seats, a removable engine cover with a Lego brick-built engine underneath and of course, working steering.

And for when you really want to show it off, a functioning kickstand.

Unique to the set is the color scheme.

The Vespa is flush with pastel blue which we can’t help but love.

Lego specifically chose the color as true Lego enthusiasts know it is not the most common of color schemes to be found on a Lego set.

You probably don’t have this blue in your child’s Lego bin!

As if the scooter details were not impressive enough already, Lego threw even more detail at this set.

A classic 1960s Italian license plate, a spare wheel, helmet, and an accessories basket with a flower bouquet for when you really want to channel your dreams on the Italian countryside.

The Lego Vespa 125 set is available on Tuesday, March 1, through Lego’s website.

If you’re looking for more fun beyond the Vespa and need your Lego fix we have you covered. We recommend the LEGO Technic Ferrari 488 GTE “AF Corse #51” or the LEGO Porsche 911 sets to keep you busy.

What should Lego do next?
