The CEO of Rimac Automobili treated himself to the ultimate gift – a Nevera.

Only 150 of these hypercars will be produced, and Mate Rimac’s was finally delivered to him.

At just 36 years old, he’s one of the youngest people in the world to own one.

Naturally, he customized every inch of his brand-new car which he plans to use as his daily driver.

Mate Rimac’s Nevera – 15 years in the making

The Rimac Nevera is one of the most coveted hypercars on the market right now.

It’s one of the fastest electric cars in the world, even leaving its gas-powered competitors in the dust.

Breaking records is its specialty, once beating 23 performance records in one day.

Mate Rimac was just 21 when he founded Rimac, having been fascinated with cars his whole – admittedly short – life.

15 years later he’s taken delivery of his first Nevera, the all-electric hypercar that represents years of his hard work and innovation.

Features of the custom-spec Nevera

He’s highly patriotic and prides his cars on being mostly manufactured in Croatia.

This is clear in his hyper-personalized car, which features hand-painted Croatian flags on the side mirrors.

The exterior is a full carbon body tinted in red with red accents throughout the car.

He wanted it left unpainted to show the natural beauty of bare carbon fiber.

The exposed carbon weave panels were incredibly demanding to produce, as each panel’s geometry perfectly flows into the next.

This meant that even if woven just a millimeter off, the entire panel would need to be redone.

Inside, he opted for an asymmetrical colorway with one half of the cabin black and the other half red.

Rimac refused to skip the queue for his own car

Rimac offers many customization options for the interior, from motifs hand-stitched into armrests and headrests to messages engraved into metal plates to anodizing the metal of the door handles.

The CEO had embroidered personal motifs dotted throughout his car.

“It’s kind of a crazy experience to be a customer of your own company, and I probably wasn’t the easiest customer either,” he said.

“The result not only looks great but it tells an important story for me.”

What makes this delivery extra special is that he didn’t jump the queue, taking delivery sometime after the car was released.

This shows he respects the process that all customers have to go through.

In a world where unique and genuine service is key, this authenticity really stands out.
