Someone just spotted a Tesla Semi cruising in California with a huge Walmart logo on its side.

The automaker has been really quiet about its Semi program, and it seems more companies are taking deliveries of the trucks.

Tesla initially had plans to begin the Semi’s production in 2019, but it started in 2022 instead.

Since then, we haven’t heard much about the program apart from people spotting it on the roads.

What we do know is that PepsiCo and Frito-Lay were the first ones to internally take deliveries of a Tesla Semi fleet and use them operationally.

However, a user who goes by the name Accelerating.Tech posted photos and videos of a Walmart-branded Semi on the social media platform X.

They mentioned their brother spotted the truck in Stockton, California, on May 3.

The photos show ‘Walmart Transportation LLC’ as the company operating the truck, and, of course, there’s a Tesla logo on the front of the cab.

Walmart’s use of fully electric trucks for its day-to-day operations resonates with its approach to achieving net-zero emissions for its Class 8 transportation fleet.

The Tesla Semi is certainly a great choice for going all-electric, but the automaker delayed production quite a few times.

Unlike the Cybertruck, Elon Musk isn’t promoting the Semi online.

Probably because it’s a commercial vehicle for businesses.

It’s still unclear how many Semis Walmart placed an order for, but there are surely hundreds of them.

Tesla first started taking orders for the $180,000 truck back in 2022, and people have been spotting them ever since.

Only recently, another person caught one in Santa Cruz with CostCo branding.

The user shared a video of the truck at a loading bay and said that the driver liked the driving experience of Tesla’s all-electric truck.

Seeing so many of these trucks on the road only means that Tesla is now ramping up the truck’s production.

So, we might get to see a lot more of these large trucks on the road in the near future.
